Welcome to the Mind of Tobi Bamidele...
S.I.O: TOBI BAMIDELE’S REVIEW The Theme: VIVID According to the ENGLISH dictionary that we download from Google Playstore which a planetary percentage of us have on our smartphones; VIVID means "A felt-tipped permanent marker, genericised from the brand". I tried in all honesty to relate this definition to the S.I.O spoken words concert and I couldn't make much sense from it. Then, I came across other meanings of VIVID like "Clear, Detailed, Powerful, Bright, Intense, Colourful" which is quite reasonable. However, I needed something deeper to vibe with and google is never far away. Google describes vivid as "giving powerful feelings or strong clear images in the mind, to evoke" and right there and then, I could feel the dots connecting.
Few months ago, Which happens to be a year +, I took a break from blogs and writing to concentrate on a 9-5 job. And FAM, naah I was really not cut out for a 9-5.
IMAGE: ENEZE ADAVA "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the one I used to know, blah blah blah blah blah blah... And may all your Christmases be white..." I bet we all know that song.. CHRISTMAS IS COMING, and what do you want for Christmas? You know there's like the dream to all move overseas and do something worthwhile, but yo, nothing beats coming back with all the swag to see your homeboys and homegirls, I mean nothing beats Christmas in Nigeria.. Where else will you see Chinedu Manchester, Bayo Malay or Daniel Finland celebrating Christmas together? Or is it Abdul, God'sglory, and Ogunniyi all hanging out at the mall, different religions, one celebration..
