IMAGE: ENEZE ADAVA "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the one I used to know, blah blah blah blah blah blah... And may all your Christmases be white..." I bet we all know that song.. CHRISTMAS IS COMING, and what do you want for Christmas? You know there's like the dream to all move overseas and do something worthwhile, but yo, nothing beats coming back with all the swag to see your homeboys and homegirls, I mean nothing beats Christmas in Nigeria.. Where else will you see Chinedu Manchester, Bayo Malay or Daniel Finland celebrating Christmas together? Or is it Abdul, God'sglory, and Ogunniyi all hanging out at the mall, different religions, one celebration..
ROLL OUT THE SWEATSHIRTS The First Rain has fallen gentlemen, and though it is not yet rainy season, now is the time to roll out those sweatshirts. We were all playing football on Sunday evening at our regular training pitch when we heard the sound coming from a distance, hitting on rooftops coming alongside a strong wind that kept blowing away everything, we knew what it was. The rain had come. Those of us that refused to allow our cleats (soccer shoes) have a feel of the rain ran for cover. Some others remained unwavering as they kept playing in the rain. Well, this is not an article about rain or soccer, however now that it has started raining, gentlemen it is time (like Elijah would say). Time to roll out those sweatshirts, time to put aside those suede shoes, it is another time to make a statement. Let us have a brief thread on matching your sweatshirt for the crazy weather.
S.I.O: TOBI BAMIDELE’S REVIEW The Theme: VIVID According to the ENGLISH dictionary that we download from Google Playstore which a planetary percentage of us have on our smartphones; VIVID means "A felt-tipped permanent marker, genericised from the brand". I tried in all honesty to relate this definition to the S.I.O spoken words concert and I couldn't make much sense from it. Then, I came across other meanings of VIVID like "Clear, Detailed, Powerful, Bright, Intense, Colourful" which is quite reasonable. However, I needed something deeper to vibe with and google is never far away. Google describes vivid as "giving powerful feelings or strong clear images in the mind, to evoke" and right there and then, I could feel the dots connecting.
